Liby Games

Privacy Policy — Liby Games

Last updated: 30 September 2026

Liby Games ("the app") helps you discover cozy video games, watch their trailers and find where to play them. It has no account and never asks for your name, email or contacts.

At a glance

Your Wishlist, backlog, leaves, collections and settings stay on your device. The app shows ads from Google AdMob, and it only tracks you for ads if you allow it. There are no in-app purchases.

What stays on your device

Your Wishlist, backlog (Someday, Playing, Finished, Set aside), leaves (your 1 to 5 ratings), collections, My platforms, favourite kinds of cozy, your last Match me answers, the 24-hour unlock of your matches and the app's settings. They are saved in the app's private storage on your iPhone or iPad and are never sent to us.

Game data and images (IGDB and Twitch)

Game information, covers and screenshots are requested from IGDB (https://www.igdb.com), a service of Twitch. To use it, your device first asks Twitch for an access key and then asks IGDB for game data. Twitch and IGDB receive your IP address like any website does, and their own privacy policy applies to that connection. The app doesn't send them anything about you.

Trailers (YouTube)

Trailers play in YouTube's embedded player, provided by YouTube API Services. When you play one, YouTube and Google receive information about the playback under their own terms: the YouTube Terms of Service (https://www.youtube.com/t/terms) and the Google Privacy Policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy).

Store links

"Where to play" opens the game's page in a store's own app or website (for example the App Store or Steam). What happens there is covered by that store's privacy policy. The app never sells, gives or downloads games.

App settings

At launch the app downloads a small settings file from our server (ad settings and service keys). It sends nothing about you.

Ads and tracking

The app shows ads from Google AdMob. Google may collect your device's advertising identifier, coarse location, diagnostics and how you interact with ads, to show ads and measure them — see https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. In regions where consent is required, the app asks for it first, and you can change your choice any time under Settings > Ad privacy choices. On iOS the app asks for permission to track (App Tracking Transparency); if you decline, Google shows ads without your advertising identifier. Rewarded ads are optional: one only plays when you choose to watch it in Match me.

Children

The app is not directed at children under 13 and we don't knowingly collect their information.

Your choices

Remove games from your shelf or reset all data in Settings > Reset all data, change ad privacy choices in the app, turn off tracking in iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking, or delete the app to remove everything it stored.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be published on this page with a new date.
